According to the study, 85% of male office workers admitted to regularly viewing pornographic websites and masturbating while simultaneously participating on business video calls from home. 90% of the male subjects interviewed stated they were normally nude from the waist down on business video calls even when not engaging in sexual activity. Banker Erl Beck of New Jersey works in New York but hasn’t been to his office since May of 2020. Beck regularly participates in video calls for business and provided his opinion under the condition of anonymity.

Businesses worldwide depend on popular software applications like Zoom and Microsoft Teams to hold virtual meetings and maintain social connectivity for employees working from home.
However, recent incidents of inappropriate behavior during business calls have raised eyebrows. In a recent study, a group of 500 office employees working from home were polled after the October 2020 firing of CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin when the popular reporter unknowingly broadcast himself masturbating to shocked viewers.
However, this type of activity is not limited to male office workers. According to the study, 45% of female office workers engage in self touching or other means of masturbation while on business video calls. 60% of women admitted to being nude from the waist down and sitting on hands free vibrational devices while on video calls.

“I made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera. I apologize to my wife, family, friends and co-workers,” Toobin told Motherboard.
“I believed I was not visible on Zoom. I thought no one on the Zoom call could see me. I thought I had muted the Zoom video,” he added. Interestingly, the results of the polling suggest the Toobin incident was not uncommon.
“I think it’s relatively normal for masturbation to occur during business calls while working from home because high level meetings can be very stressful”, Beck said.
“Most of my male colleagues have told me that they open multiple windows on their computer screen in order to enjoy arousing imagery while conducting business. To me, this is one of the benefits of working from home because it is difficult to do this type of thing in an office environment. As long as no one realizes it, it shouldn’t be a problem”, Beck added.
